Jackson County Fair

We took a large family outing to the Jackson County Fair this past week. The boys had a great time. They made it to all of the animal barns, fed the horses, got screamed at by goats, and saw the sheep getting shaved.

We built racecars at the Home Depot booth.

Then we made our way to the Midway where we rode rides and ate cotton candy and ice cream.

On our way out we went through the baby animal barn where everyone wanted to take something home with them!

Lucas' New Room (and baby sister's)

Before....

During....what a helper!

Ta da! The finished product!
We spent most of the day Saturday making Lucas' room gender neutral so he can share with his little sister! He was so excited to help paint! She will have the same green gingham sheets as him. He seems really excited about the change, right now anyway!

Chicago with Pam and Grandpa Doug

This past weekend Joe's dad and aunt flew into Chicago to visit some relatives. We drove up to stay a night with them in Chicago and catch another Cubs game. We stayed downtown and shopped/walked Michigan Ave., went to the Pier. The next day was consumed with the Cubs game!

Lucas spent a lot of time on Grandpa's shoulders!

Lucas hording stuffed animals at the Disney store. Aunt Pam spoiled him by buying him Pooh, Mickey, AND Nemo.

Outside of Wrigley.

Checking out the fire station before the game outside of the field.

Lucas relaxing after 2 train rides and the game (which interferred with his nap!)

A Fun Day with Sam

Today was our last day of swim lessons so we thought we'd make it an all-out fun day. We started off at the movies and saw "Happy Feet". The boys liked all the music but wallored their moms to death! Next was lunch and time on the playground at Chick-Fil-A. Then we were on to swim lessons. Lucas still isn't really fond of going under, but did so twice planned and once on accident! We'll keep working on it!

This is how Lucas holds his breath and closes his eyes to go underwater. No wonder he is choking when he comes up!

4th of July Weekend

We had a great weekend celebrating. We were able to see two firework shows(fire truck according to Lucas). He loved him them! We went to the huge (ha ha) Sellersburg parade. The 5th of July we had a picnic at my grandma's house.
