Memorial Day

What would Memorial Day be without a scorching hot picnic? We had the family over and bore the heat. The kids and GG played in the sprinkler. They ran around in diapers most of the day (not GG of course)! Lucas took it upon himself to try and cool Grandma Curtis off.

Cole's 3rd Birthday

Cole turned 3 on Friday. He had many family members and friends there who love him. The highlight was getting his big boy bike with training wheels.

Lucas and Nate had a difficult time staying out of Cole's cake while he was opening gifts. They finally gave up and got down after I held them over with M&Ms. It was the only way to keep their little fingers out of it!

Lucas and Sam

Lucas and Sam had a perfect spot for watching the game.

Slugger Field

We attended our first Bats game of the season. Lucas didn't smile, cry, make a sound, or hardly move. He was taking it all in. It will be the first of many this season.

Derby Party

We had a Derby party! Let's just say it was "back-breaking" but I heard it was a great time! So good, I had to take muscle-relaxers. pain-killers, and 2 days off work to recover. Joe did win the $100 pot...just enough to cover my co-pays!

Louisville Slugger Museum

While Lucas and I were working the other Campbell's were playing!

Playing With Kamryn

Lucas did a GREAT job sharing his toys, although he seemed to be the most interested in the ones Kamryn was playing with.

A Visit from the Oregon Campbells

Last Monday, Joe's brother, Matthew, his wife, Holly, and their 10 month old, Kamryn, came for a visit. We were able to do lots of the Derby activities. Monday we went to the Parade preview. Wednesday we went to Churchill Downs and "donated" some money. Thursday they went to the Louisville Slugger Bat Museum. Saturday we hosted a Derby party that I heard was a lot of fun! ( I had to miss it because Lucas threw up and then my back went out). On Monday they went to a Riverbats game. Their vacation was a little hindered by Lucas being sick 2 days and then me not being able to do anything towards the end of their stay. We did get some quality time just hanging out. Lucas liked having them around. It didn't take long for Matthew to find his "tickle spots". He loved feeding Kamryn puffs and goldfish while giving her high-fives! They were a lot of fun to have around!
